Celebrate Lincoln-June 8th & 9th | 11:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m.

Patrons will enjoy two fun-filled days of delicious food, refreshing beverages, colorful merchandise, kid-friendly activities, and a sizzling line-up of entertainment. Celebrate Lincoln, produced by GOLincolnGO, will take place from 12th – 14th streets on N Street from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. both days. The Celebrate Lincoln Family Zone and Market Place will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. both days.

Admission: $7 for adults and $3 for kids

Jazz in June-Every Tuesday Night | 7:00 p.m.

Jazz in June has become more than just a tradition in Lincoln. It’s a summer standard. Organized by the Sheldon Art Association and Sheldon Museum of Art, the free Tuesday evening series is one of Lincoln’s sublime summer delights.

Enjoy the Jazz in June Market, starting at 5 p.m. at 12th & R Streets, and then stroll onto the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus to listen to great jazz, beginning at 7 p.m.

Music & Mozzarella at the Lincoln Children’s Museum-Every Thursday, June 7th-July 19th* | 5:00-7:00 p.m.

This FREE family-friendly concert is held each Thursday from June 7-July 19*. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with a pre-concert show and pizza sales from Sam & Louie’s while supplies last. The headline act plays from 6-7 p.m. each week. Join us for live music, great fun and delicious pizza! *No concert Thursday, July 5th.

First Friday Artwalks-June 1st, July 6th, August 3rd | 5:00 p.m.

First Friday Artwalks are held on the first Friday of every month at galleries and select businesses. Paintings, photography, clothing, sculpture, music and much more can be found as you stroll from gallery to gallery. Support local artists and businesses while enjoying the beautiful summer weather and welcoming atmosphere downtown.

Adult Summer Reading Program at Bennett Martin Library-Now through July 31st

Participants are asked to read four books of their choice during the program’s nine weeks, and once participants finish four books, they will receive prize coupons to both Licorice International and Cherry on Top. They will also be eligible for the Book Lover’s Gift Bag grand prize which includes several reading accessories, $25 to a local book store (including downtown shops A Novel Idea and Indigo Bridge Books) and also a Kindle Fire.
