Footloose & Fancy Remodels and Rebrands Downtown Store
Footloose & Fancy has been a staple in the downtown community since 1975 when the store first opened its doors, offering high-quality, comfortable shoes to Lincolnites. This summer, Footloose underwent an extensive makeover; the popular shoe store has expanded its merchandise to now include clothing, and the new name reflects the changes. Introducing: Threads Footloose & Fancy.

The downtown icon has lent their footwear’s signature style to include the latest in outdoor-inspired garments. Jane Stricker, owner, says the store’s renovation is five years in the making. Threads Footloose & Fancy now carries distinguished apparel brands such as: The North Face, Patagonia,Lucky, Kuhl and many more. Most of the brands in stock have a purpose as well. Indigenous, one of the store’s newest products is a leader in eco-fashion—made from fair trade, organic cotton.

Along with the new name and merchandise additions came a slew of renovations. The store added 1,000 square feet of space, affixed a brand new store front, updated the ceilings, walls and flooring and installed energy-efficient LED lighting.

After 37 years, their original philosophy is still true to form, offering more than just material items. Instead, Threads Footloose & Fancy offers their own unique, quality lifestyle. Stop by today to check out the revamped store.
