The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce has always placed jobs as a top priority.  We have also prioritized attracting and retaining talent to our city.

The launch of our new branding campaign addresses this point.  Life is Right in Lincoln has been adopted by the current city administration and will be used to create a visual identity for our great city.  This campaign has provided testimony to the power and reach of social media.  For example, a posting of the Independence Day street signs that were placed at various places downtown received over 13 million views after they were posted to a national blog in less than a month.

We’re excited by the potential of the new branding campaign.  I believe these efforts will benefit existing companies, their employees and owners as well as Lincoln residents and taxpayers.  But to continue to market our city we must all be contributing to the conversation.  And in order to continue to lead these types of projects, we must grow our membership base.

The Chamber Membership Team is in the midst of the 2012 Membership Drive.

Our goal is to recruit 100 new members in September and October to assist in moving towards the next step in our city’s growth.  Please encourage your business contacts to become part of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

The membership drive co-chairs are Kim Moore, President and CEO of Saint Elizabeth Regional medical Center and John Miles, Partner at Cline Williams Wright Johnson & Oldfather LLP.  They will guide teams made up of 50 member representatives to share their Chamber experiences with their business vendors, clients, and friends.

Team captains include:  Paige Zutavern from Strictly Business Magazine, Chad Hood from Security First Bank, Stanton Beeder from Cline Williams Wright Johnson & Oldfather LLP, Russ Ripa from Union Bank & Trust, Becky Haufle from INSPRO, Bud Olsson from Great Western Bank, TJ Kincaid from Waddell & Reed, Melanie Anderson from Mutual of Omaha Bank, Joanne Bartles from Company Care, and Jay Rose from US Bank.

There has never been a better time to join the Chamber.  Join now and help us build Lincoln’s bright future.

The Chamber’s mission is to improve the lives of Lincoln residents by providing increased economic opportunity and can only be accomplished together.  Networking opportunities, business advocacy, and creating economic viability are critical to our success.  We encourage you to become a member and help us achieve these goals for Lincoln.  For more information, please contact Paul 436-2350. www.lcoc.com
