As Steph The Mortgage Genie, also known as Stephanie Boyes with Peoples Mortgage, I get asked one question all the time—“How did you come up with the mortgage genie?” When answering this question, I always feel like it doesn’t make much sense until I provide personal information about myself and my goals—even though it is pretty catchy and I could just leave it at that. I began my career in Denver, Colorado, and honed my skills in San Antonio, Texas. In 2012, I moved back to Lincoln, Nebraska and have never looked back. I am a native of this great city, and it is also my permanent home where I have chosen to raise my family.
During my time in this industry I have discovered what is most important to me as a loan officer. What pleases me most is the sincere satisfaction I derive from helping people achieve and maintain the American dream. The size of a home or the neighborhood in which it is located is not important. What IS important is the reaction—a mixture of excitement, happiness, and relief along with huge smiles–when I tell my clients that together we can and will make their dreams come true.
My main objective is always to help take my clients exactly where they want to go, whether this is a first home for a new family or refinancing an existing mortgage and helping to keep more money in my client’s pocket.
