Twelfth Annual Cyber Security Conference

Why is cyber security so important in the workplace? Find out from a number of local and national cyber experts at the 12th Annual Cyber Security Conference on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the Lincoln Campus of Southeast Community College.
This year’s event takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8800 O St. Space is limited. The price to register is $99, or $59 Education Rate for faculty, staff and students. To register, go to http://bit.ly/RegisterCE and type in keyword: Cyber.
The conference is for security administrators and IT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators and information security professionals. The conference is a partnership between SCC and the state of Nebraska. There will be breakout sessions over the course of the day.
One of the featured speakers, Shane Harsch, has more than 25 years of security experience ranging from military to manufacturing to security consulting. Harsch will address how to build a security practice in today’s world and how to address potential threats.
“We must understand that we’re all in this together and face many of the same challenges,” Harsch said. “Participants will have the opportunity to interact with industry leaders and practice experts to gain the necessary perspective to move our practices to the next level to address today’s threats,” he added.
