Dr. David Kohl, renowned agricultural economist and consultant, will be the featured speaker during the annual Ag Management Expo of Southeast Nebraska, scheduled for Jan. 17 in Beatrice.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the Truman Center on Southeast Community College’s Beatrice Campus, 4771 W. Scott Road. The event is free, and a free lunch will be provided to the first 200 attendees. Lunch tickets can be obtained at the door.  The Expo is being sponsored by SCC and the Beatrice Area Chamber/Gage County Tourism, with assistance from Monsanto.

Kohl is professor emeritus in the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at Virginia Tech University. He now serves as president of AgriVisions, LLC, a knowledge-based consulting business providing cutting-edge programs to leading agricultural organizations worldwide. He also is business coach and part owner of Homestead Creamery, a value-added dairy business in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
