Residents of the Legacy Retirement Communities also recently attended fundraising dinners and “Animal Encounter” events in June to benefit the Lincoln Children’s Zoo.  With matching funds from the Legacy Retirement Communities, they donated $5645 to support low-income scholarships for area children to attend the zoo and zoo camps and also to provide “Animal Encounters” for local nursing homes.
