Lied Center 2017/18 Season Brings World-Class Artists to Lincoln

The Lied Center for Performing Arts (LiedCenter.org) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is pleased to announce another outstanding season with the best in theater, dance and musical performances, beginning September 30 with the B-52s, the quintessential ’80s band. Highlighting the season is a performance of “The Firebird” by the American Ballet Theatre, accompanied by the St. Louis Symphony. This collaborative event features principal dancers Misty Copeland and Isabella Boylston. The Glenn Korff Broadway Series anchors the Lied Center’s 17/18 season with national Broadway tours, including “Jersey Boys,” “Kinky Boots,” “The Color Purple” and “The Sound of Music.” The Lied Center’s full 2017/18 season listing can be found online at LiedCenter.org.

Tickets to all performances are currently available as part of a season ticket package (4 or more events, with discounts available for general public and students). If the performances are not sold out through season ticket orders, any remaining tickets will be available for single ticket purchase starting August 8. Ticket orders can be placed online at LiedCenter.org, by phone at (402) 472-4747, or in person at the Lied Center Box Office, 301 N 12th St.

The Lied Center and its programs are made possible through the generous 2017/2018 season support of Christina Hixson and the Lied Foundation Trust, the Glenn Korff Broadway Endowment, Friends of Lied, Ameritas and Union Bank & Trust Company. Major private patron investments support enhanced Broadway and classical music programming as well as the GK Platinum Artist Fund.
