Delta Air Lines will officially begin flying from Lincoln to Atlanta on September 3. The flight was previously scheduled to begin September 8; however, the availability of an aircraft and flight crew made it possible to move up the initial departure date.  Early response to the new service has been good, and advance bookings for the daily flight to Atlanta are promising. Travelers can now book flights connecting Lincoln and Atlanta at Delta.com, online travel sites or through a travel agent.

The new daily service departs from Lincoln at 7 a.m. Central time and arrives in Atlanta at 10:17 a.m. Eastern time. The return flight leaves Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta at 7:15 p.m. Eastern time and arrives in Lincoln at 8:42 p.m. Central time.
