Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, a family-owned, regional grocery chain with a focus on natural, organic, and affordably priced products, opened its doors for the first time in Lincoln in March.
This regional grocery chain was founded in Colorado by Philip and Margaret Isely in 1955 and has remained within the Isely family.
Natural Grocers is now owned and managed by Philip and Margaret’s children, who have succeeded in growing their parents original concept to over 50 stores across ten states.
At Natural Grocers, Lincoln residents will be able to shop at a store that sells only USDA certified organic produce, meats from animals raised without the use of antibiotics or hormones, a complete supplement and body care department, a large selection of gluten free products and other special dietary need products, and a huge selection of organic and natural groceries free of artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners and hydrogenated oils.
True to the Natural Grocers philosophy, the new store at 212 N. 48th St. (just north of the intersection of 48th and O) has been designed to be a highly energy efficient structure.
Natural Grocers will be open Monday through Saturday at 8:56 a.m. closing at 8:04 pm and Sunday opening at 9:56 a.m. and closing at 6:06 p.m. The store number will be (402) 489 0400.
