Potbelly Sandwich Shop, which has 234 shops in the United States (four of which are franchises), are pleased to announce they are ready to expand into Nebraska and are looking for franchisees in both Omaha and Lincoln.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop began in 1977 as a small antique store in Chicago run by a nice young couple. Despite the fast-paced, never-a-dull-moment world of antique dealing, the couple decided to bolster their business by making sandwiches for their customers. What began as a lark turned out to be a stroke of genius and soon, people who couldn’t care less about vintage glass doorknobs were stopping by to enjoy special sandwiches and homemade desserts in this unusual atmosphere.  They grew in Chicago to a dozen shops, then began expanding across the United States.

Potbelly Strives to keep local décor in their shops and dedicate 50% of each store’s décor to the neighborhood.  They also feature lots of energy in their shops with sandwiches prepared before your eyes and live music from local musicians.

Potbelly is searching for two-person teams for the owner/operator model.  Ideal candidates want to be part of the community as well as run a sandwich business.
