In 2014, Raising Cane’s sponsored several different Relay for Life events that were being held in and around the Lincoln community to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In total, nearly $2,200 and almost $4,000 in food and raffle prizes were donated to help support the different events.

In 2014, Raising Cane’s played a part in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Nebraska Wesleyan University and Doane College’s Relay for Life events. In addition, Raising Cane’s donated their hot and fresh chicken fingers for a good-will donation at the Haymarket Park Relay for Life event that raised over $200,000 this year.

The Lincoln Franchise was opened in 2006 by Justin & Jennifer Jones, who moved to Nebraska from Baton Rouge, LA. Since opening their location, they have set out to make a change in their community by becoming active community leaders by getting involved with events and fundraisers such as this one.

Raising Cane’s has one love—chicken fingers—and focuses its menu offering on fresh, made-to-order chicken fingers paired with their homemade Cane’s sauce, grilled Texas Toast brushed with garlic butter, creamy Cole slaw and crinkle-cut French fries.
