A new program offered by Russ’s Market provides incentives for children to eat right and exercise. Beginning Nov. 1, Russ’s Market will partner with Sage Fruit to bring Kids in Force to its customers.

“By encouraging children to eat right and be active, we can help them reach their potential,” said Lynn Friesen, wellness coordinator for B&R Stores. “The Kids in Force program gets kids and parents thinking about healthy choices while they’re doing their grocery shopping.”

The Kids in Force program requires participants to keep a log of what they eat and the amount of time spent doing some type of physical activity. Children receive points for eating right and exercising. Those points can then be redeemed for prizes. Forms to track diet and activity are available on the kids’ page at RussMarket.com, along with other Kids in Force activities and information.
