Southeast Community College is pleased to announce that Peter Davidson, an experienced author whose works have been published by McGraw-Hill Book Company, Perigee/Putnam Publishers, Haworth Press and others, is returning to Southeast Community College to conduct his popular one-day seminar titled “How to Get Your Book Published.”

The workshop takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 16, at SCC’s Continuing Education Center, 301 S. 68th St. Place, Lincoln. Cost is $49 per person and includes all materials. Participants are on their own for a one-hour lunch. To register, call (402) 437-2700.
In his workshop, Davidson describes the three possible ways to get a book published: through traditional publishing, vanity publishing, or self-publishing. Potential advantages and disadvantages of each method will be explored. However, because of the difficulties of finding a traditional publisher, the high costs of vanity publishing and the rising popularity of self-publishing, this seminar will emphasize the self-publishing process.

This seminar is for anyone writing a book of fiction or nonfiction, personal experience, family history, children’s picture book, poetry, religious works, educational materials or other works.
