SCC Entrepreneurship Center Celebrating 10 Years

Southeast Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center (www.southeast.edu/entrepreneurship) is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.

A special reception will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m. at Grata in Lincoln. Two successful incubator alumni, Steve Maly of Maly Marketing and Piyush Srivastav of NAQS Environmental Specialists, will each be presented with awards. Tim Mittan, the founding director of the Entrepreneurship Center, will present the awards.

For the last decade, the Entrepreneurship Center has helped a number of people develop their businesses from an idea to a success story. The full-service hub offers everything from office space, coaching, educational opportunities, and more.

“During the past 10 years, the SCC Entrepreneurship Center has helped hundreds of people in southeast Nebraska achieve their dreams of business ownership,” said Steve Bors, director. “We average nearly 1,300 coaching meetings a year with existing and potential entrepreneurs. We also host free workshops and networking events for prospective business owners.”
