As part of Tiger Rock Martial Arts International, students and instructors participate in a World Event and Championships once a year.  This year, the events were in Birmingham, Alabama for five days of training, testing, professional education and tournament competition.

Jeff Dousharm, founder of Tiger Rock Academies in both Lincoln and Omaha, was recognized officially as a 7th Degree Black Belt and Senior Master after serving one year as the “provisional rank” after his actual testing last year in Baton Rouge.  This makes Dousharm the youngest to ever achieve this level in Tiger Rock Martial Arts.  In addition to Dousharm’s recognition, several other high ranking Black Belts represented Tiger Rock Academy by competing and testing for high rank in front of the international board of examiners.  These included Michael Baluch (testing for 6th degree Black Belt), Jason Reed (testing for Senior 5th Degree Black Belt), Danika Lang and Patrick Leahy (both testing for 4th Degree Black Belt).

Additional competitors for the World Championships from Nebraska included Tim Traudt, Aaron Searls, Marissa Searls, Summer Damewood, Autumn Damewood, Misha Gansvind, and Mariah Wailes.
