Union Bank has introduced MyQuest, a free and interactive virtual world that teaches elementary-aged children to spend, save and share in a safe, family-friendly, online environment.

As children navigate through the virtual bank, community center, park and more, they will learn basic principles of money management through fun and educational missions. Each mission introduces players to helpful community leaders and volunteers who guide them on their way to earning coins that they can spend, save or share within the virtual world. These basic principles will also be brought to life through real-world missions, events and donations matched by Union Bank.

MyQuest is focused on three key components of financial literacy: spending, saving and sharing. Children can spend coins they earn on clothing for their Avatar, furniture for their customizable room or mission items. They can save and earn interest by depositing coins into their piggy bank. Children can also share or donate their coins to children in need of food, medical supplies, toys or conservation efforts. In turn, Union Bank will donate a proportional match to the following organizations: Salvation Army (toys), Food Bank of Lincoln (Food), American Red Cross (Medical) and Arbor Day Foundation (Conservation).

Union Bank partnered with local company, Green Bein’, to develop MyQuest.
