Goodwill Industries International and Dell recently added 100 Goodwill® donation sites to the Reconnect computer recycling program, making it convenient for more than 42 million U.S. households to drop off computers and related accessories for free, responsible recycling.

“Locally, this means that Lincoln residents are now able to donate in a whole new way.  For instance, if you donate a piece of computer equipment and it does not or cannot sell in our stores, it will be recycled responsibly.  The proceeds received from that recycled item will be returned to Goodwill and help to support our mission of putting people to work,” said Mandy Haga, Communications Specialist with Goodwill in Lincoln.

Friday May 6th will be the grand opening of Goodwill’s new Dell Reconnect store, located at the corner of Cotner Boulevard and “O” St., Lincoln. The store will feature affordable refurbished computers, video game systems and accessories and a venue for recycling used computers and electronics.
