Hampton Construction has been chosen by Union College to construct its new science and math complex. The 55,000 square-foot, two-story structure will house state-of-the-art labs with learning spaces for biology, physics, and mathematics. More than 60 percent of Union College students are in programs requiring science and math classes, including nursing and international rescue and relief – the college’s two largest majors.

Union College recently launched the “Our Promising Future” campaign to help fund the $20 million complex, which will replace Jorgensen Hall.  The building will be constructed between Rees Hall, Larson Lifestyle Center, and the Don Love Building on the north side of the campus, which is located at So. 48th and Prescott streets. Groundbreaking is scheduled for the spring of 2012 with an anticipated completion in the summer of 2013.

Founded in 1948 by Joe Hampton, Hampton Enterprises is celebrating more than 60 years in business and – as Lincoln’s premier builder – has been chosen to help construct the West Haymarket Arena. The $168 million facility is slated for completion in the fall of 2013.  Hampton Construction and Hampton Realty are divisions of Hampton Enterprises, which employs more than 65 people with expertise in land development, commercial general contracting, construction management, real estate brokerage, property management, and building maintenance.
