Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) is throwing parties for its 120th birthday – and it wants everyone whose family grew with LFS to come!

LFS began as two orphanages in 1892, and since then thousands of children have found their families through adoption and foster care services.   Families are spread all over the state, and LFS hopes to invite all of them to the celebrations.

To make the events even more special, LFS is creating a special reunion opportunity with many of the placement counselors and case workers who placed children in their homes.  Marti Wilson, for example, has been with LFS for 35 years and helped find homes for hundreds of children.  She’ll be a special guest at this event.

LFS is collecting names and contact information of families who adopted a child or grandchild, or those who were adopted through LFS.

Please send your story to info@lfsneb.org or call Anna at (402) 591-5063 and let them know that you were part of the LFS adoption program.
