Madonna ProActive to Offer Half Marathon Training Class

Madonna ProActive (www.madonna.org) has announced that registration is open for its upcoming Half Marathon Training Class, a 16-week program that will prepare those who are running the Lincoln National Guard Half Marathon on May 1st or any other runs in the area.

The training program will begin on Tuesday, January 12th with a Run & Education session at 6 p.m. starting at Madonna ProActive, located at 7111 Stephanie Lane.  Led by Evan Hansen PT, DPT, OCS, a board certified specialist in orthopedic physical therapy and Wendy Smith-Johnsen, B.S., CPT, fitness trainer and group exercise instructor, the training program is designed for all fitness levels.

Following the first session, the program will include: 16 group long runs, 16 group workouts/runs (hills, speed & core work), 16-week individualized training plan and unlimited access to coaches before and after workouts, weekly education sessions with running experts, a 12 visit punch card to ProActive, individual running form analysis, a tech shirt, aqua track workouts and yoga classes. (Times and locations will vary for scheduled workouts/education sessions).
