The Lincoln Chamber made their annual presentation of policy awards at the December public policy forum. The 2010 Business Advocate of the Year award went to Tony Fulton, the owner of Guardian Angels Homecare and a State Senator serving Legislative District 29.  Fulton is a long-time member of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, actively involved in the Chamber’s Public Policy Forums and a member of the Chamber’s Business Executive Roundtable.

Mike Eckert, co-owner of Civil Design Group, was awarded the Chamber’s 2010 Policy Volunteer of the Year for his efforts as a member of the Chamber’s Transportation and Public Works Committee. Eckert is recognized for his private sector work on LPlan 2040, the City’s ongoing update to its Comprehensive Plan. Eckert is actively involved in the Chamber’s efforts to develop solutions for our city’s infrastructure needs.

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce promotes a positive business climate that is conducive to growth of jobs, investment, and tourism. The Chamber pursues this goal together with other community and business organizations to improve the quality of life and standard of living for all Lincoln citizens.
