The Mahoney golf course located at 7900 Adams Street is pleased to announce it will now offer a six hole short course available Sunday afternoon and evening now through the end of the golf season. By offering a six hole short course, the City Golf Courses hope to attract those who are short on time, who want to experience golf on a less difficult course without more experienced players making them feel uncomfortable and allowing players to tee off from whatever length they want to play. This is a new experience in the game of golf but one they hope appeals to a new generation of golfers.
Mahoney Golf Course was chosen to launch this new experience due to the course layout and the way the back nine holes are aligned, which allows them to start on #10, play #11 and #12, skip over to #16 and #17 and finish with #18 back at the clubhouse, all in about an hour and a half. They hope that this becomes popular enough to fit in their other City courses.
