The Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce Arbor Day Committee is accepting team entries for the Annual Arbor Day Chili Cook-Off. The event will take place Friday, April 29th at the Nebraska City Fire House located at 1409 Central Ave from 5:30-8:30 pm. To enter a team, you must fill out an entry form and return with $15 to the Nebraska City Tourism & Commerce office by April 20. Entry forms are available at the NCTC office and on-line at www.NebraskaCity.com.
Prizes will be awarded to the best in each of the following categories: Best in Show, People’s Choice and Best Booth. New this year is the opportunity to earn money for an organization/charity of your choice. The winner of this year’s People’s Choice award will take home 60% of the votes ($1 each) cast in the category.
Admission cost is $6 for a bottomless bowl. There is a $1 ‘green’ discount if you bring your own reusable bowl and spoon.
