The Nebraska Kidney Association, a 42 year old health organization, recently elected officers and new board members for 2011-2012.

Elected as President is Larry Emerson, Chief Executive Officer of the Dialysis Center of Lincoln. Richard Johnson, Vice President of the Homestead Bank in Cozad, will serve as Vice President.  Elected as Treasurer is Lola Cash, of Papillion who replaces Drew Stange, President of NAI FMA Realty in Lincoln.   The Nebraska Kidney Association wishes to thank Drew for his service.

There will be a few new faces on the Board of Directors for the coming fiscal year:  Tim Donner, Project Manager for Cheever Construction of Lincoln; Bernie Gehrki, SVP/Director of Operations for HDR Architecture of Omaha; Dwayne Marvin, Private Banker with Wells Fargo in Lincoln and Gisel Theis, Administrative Assistant for the Kearney Volunteer Fire Department in Kearney. Susan Wiedeman, Marketing Director of the Panhandle Coop in Scottsbluff; and Gary Perkins, President and CEO of Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, joined the distinguished list of Honorary Directors.

The mission of the Nebraska Kidney Association is to improve the lives of all Nebraskans through advocacy, education, early disease detection and patient services.  100% of all monies raised in Nebraska, stays in Nebraska to provide programs and services.
