More Than $110K Raised From Safe Quarters

On Sunday, October 8th, Safe Quarters volunteers raised $111,635 for victims of domestic violence by knocking on doors in Lincoln and Lancaster County. Over 1,500 volunteers participated in Friendship Home’s (www.friendshiphome.org) largest annual fundraiser, going door-to-door and asking members in the community for donations.

The money raised through this event has a HUGE impact on the lives of families escaping abuse. Funds collected provide a safe, confidential home, crisis services and ongoing support for families who are rebuilding their lives because of domestic violence. Friendship Home wants to thank all of the Safe Quarters sponsors and volunteers, as well as the generous people in the community who opened their doors.

If you didn’t get to donate, don’t worry, it’s not too late! You can donate online at http://bit.ly/2gtwT7p or mail your contribution to the following address: Friendship Home, Safe Quarters, P.O. Box 85358, Lincoln, NE 68501.
