Earlier this year in March, Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity received two property donations from Bank of America. On November 10th, volunteers and representatives from Habitat for Humanity and Bank of America, as well as donors and of course, the excited partner family,  honored the hard work that was put into their home with a Habitat Home Dedication ceremony. The homebuyers of the property at 5100 Adams Street, Raphael Go Mang and Dim Lun and their three children, are blessed to be moving into their home before the first snow. The Mangs have completed more than 400 hours of “sweat equity” helping to build their home and other Habitat homes in our community. The Mangs will repay the construction costs back to Habitat for Humanity, which then uses those funds to build more Habitat homes in our community.

Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization and is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.  For more information, call (402) 477-9184 or visit www.lincolnhabitat.org.
