At its last meeting, the board of directors for the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lincoln passed a unanimous resolution naming Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz as its “President Emeritus.”  The resolution stated in part that “upon the acceptance by the Holy Father of his resignation as Bishop of Lincoln, His Excellency The Most Reverend Fabian W. Bruskewitz shall be granted the title President Emeritus of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lincoln, in recognition of his having been the founder and the most tireless supporter of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Lincoln and its charitable works.”

Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz has served as the Foundation’s president since its inception in 2000.  Under his leadership the Foundation has grown from three original funds, to over fifty different endowments and funds valued at over $30 million dollars.

The Catholic Foundation also enters its twelve year having completed a strategic planning initiative that will guide the Foundation moving forward.  The Foundation is completing its third year of transitioning new board members to join the board of directors.  The new board members will have the opportunity to implement phases of the strategic plan.
