Nearly 300 Youth Benefit From On-Site Therapy at School in 2015-16 Provided by Child Guidance Center

Child Guidance Center (www.child-guidance.org) is providing School Based Therapy services to youth in 13 Lincoln Public School sites this year: Clinton Elementary School, Dawes Middle School, Elliott Elementary School, Everett Elementary School, Goodrich Middle School, Hartley Elementary School, McPhee Elementary School, Mickle Middle School, Northeast High School, North Star High School, Park Middle School, Pershing Elementary School, and Prescott Elementary School.  The School Based Therapy Program is funded in part through support from the United Way of Lincoln and Lancaster County.

In addition, Child Guidance Center provides Therapeutic Consultation services within Don Sherrill Education Center and Nuernberger Education Center and these services are provided through Region V funding.

“During the last school year, we served 299 children and youth through these programs. For more information about how to access these services in one of the schools we offer services, please contact the school social worker or administrator at that site,” shared Wendi Anderson, Director of Outpatient Services.
