Concordia University, Nebraska will host its annual Christmas at Concordia concerts Dec. 5-7. Performances will be Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, at 3 and 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m., at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. All concerts are open to the public free of charge, but reservations are required.

The four concerts have been a cherished Seward tradition for decades and feature the University A Cappella Choir, the University Symphonic Band, Male Chorus, Handbell Choir, Women’s Chorale and the University Brass Ensemble. The groups perform traditional hymns of the season and request audience participation throughout the concerts. Scripture readings and original music from Concordia students and faculty are also part of the celebration.

This celebration of the Christmas season includes the 20th annual Scholarship Parade of Homes, Sunday, Dec. 7 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. and the Seward Community Christmas Reception from 4 to 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Janzow Campus Center. The reception includes refreshments and is free and open to the public.
