Friendship Home Receives Large Donation From “100s of Lincoln Men Who Care”

Thanks to the compassion of a group of community-focused men, Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org will be able to provide safe shelter and supportive services to countless victims of domestic violence this year. Even more importantly, lives will be saved.

100s of Lincoln Men Who Care members each commit to contributing $100 four times a year to local charities. Members nominate and endorse the charities during each quarterly event. All men then vote and the nonprofit with the most votes receives the funds collected.

On December 29, 2015, Friendship Home Executive Director, Amy Evans, and Director of Development, Sande Dirks, accepted a check totaling $18,800 from the group’s Event 3 giving.

“At Friendship Home, we’ve always believed that the good men in our community are critical to ending violence against women,” said Evans. “The generosity of these men is an example of that spirit of goodness that can change an entire community.”
