Friendship Home: Safe Quarters is Coming to Your Neighborhood

On Sunday, October 8th, you can expect to hear a knock on your door from a Safe Quarters volunteer. On that day, over a thousand volunteers will walk the city, collecting monetary donations from Lincoln households. Safe Quarters is Friendship Home’s (www.friendshiphome.org) largest fundraiser, raising over $100,000 in the past for victims of domestic violence.

The money Safe Quarters brings in will help meet the needs of the 1,600 victims Friendship Home will serve this year. Funds collected provide a safe, confidential home, crisis services and ongoing support for families who are rebuilding their lives because of domestic violence.

It costs just $10 to provide a victim of domestic violence with one night of safe shelter and warm meals. Please open your door to Friendship Home volunteers on October 8th and give generously.

Are you interested in being a part of Safe Quarters? There is still time to register a volunteer team. To register, visit www.friendshiphome.org or contact Erin at erinl@friendshiphome.org with questions.
