Lincoln G.O.L.D. Enters 3rd Year, Announces Date of Next Gala Event

Lincoln G.O.L.D (LincolnGold.org) is proudly starting off their 3rd year with 33 participants. These young ladies are enthusiastically volunteering for nine different non-profits and attending leadership classes, finance class and etiquette classes along with many other classes to help their transition into college go smoothly.

Planning is already underway for the scholarship gala in the spring, which will be held on March 10, 2018 at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel. Those who wish to attend this event may email robinnetz@yahoo.com to purchase tickets or reserve a table. All funds raised will go to senior high school students, both boys and girls. To date, Lincoln G.O.L.D. has been able to present 47 scholarships to girls and boys graduating high school and entering their freshman year of college with $2,000 scholarships. The support of those here in the Lincoln community is greatly appreciated!

Lincoln G.O.L.D. is a leadership development and community engagement program for high school junior and senior girls. Lincoln G.O.L.D was formed by individuals passionate about preparing young women for success and making college more attainable for students who demonstrate leadership and civic sensibilities. Lincoln G.O.L.D. seeks to support young leaders in Lincoln and the surrounding community. They do that by providing scholarships to students, both young men and women, graduating from Lincoln public, private high schools and attending a Nebraska college.
