Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity recently opened its Lincoln ReStore, which is centrally located at 47th and Y, south of 48th and Holdrege behind the Kia dealership.  To celebrate, they hosted a Lincoln Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony on August 13.

The ReStore has something for everyone. It is a cost-effective outlet for home improvement items, building materials and home goods. Quality used and surplus items are available at great discount prices to reuse, recycle, and repurpose. Profits from the ReStore will help fund the mission of the local Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity affiliate which provides decent, safe, and affordable housing for families in need in our community.  The ReStore will depend upon residents of Lancaster County to donate, shop, and volunteer. Donations not only help the ReStore support Habitat for Humanity locally through sales; they keep items that are in good shape from ending up in our landfills unnecessarily!

Lincoln/Lancaster County Habitat for Humanity is part of a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
