One of the many services of the LAA is the Temporary Assistance Food Bank, which is funded completely by donations and disburses over two tons of dry pet food, in addition to canned food and litter, each month to Lincoln and surrounding area pets and their people in need. The LAA Temporary Assistance Pet Food Bank encourages community service by its recipients. Once someone has received assistance for three consecutive months, they are required to show proof of some type of community service to continue to receive help. It could be for an organization, their church, or as simple as helping out a neighbor or a friend.
