St. Monica’s Celebrates 53 Years

Celebrating yet another anniversary, St. Monica’s Behavioral Health Services (www.stmonicas.com) is excited to announce it has been proudly serving women in our community for 53 years!

At St. Monica’s, treatment focuses on helping these women find the root cause of their drug/alcohol addiction and giving them tools and strength to build a new healthy life for themselves and their families. Last year, 36% of the women served by St. Monica’s were either homeless, in a shelter, or in a treatment/recovery institution with no permanent housing in place. When women arrive for residential treatment they receive a welcome bag with personal care items in it. St. Monica’s accepts donations of these items year-round, which includes: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste, razors, towel and wash cloth. Donations of children’s books and diapers are also needed. If you would like to donate items or funds for these items, please contact Valerie Murphy at (402) 441-3768 Ext. 111.
