Like many businesses in Lincoln that are community partners with the TeamMates Mentoring Program, State Farm believes in the worthy goal of investing in the future of our community by being involved in mentoring youth.
In addition to several other annual partnership activities, in the spring the State Farm mentors host ‘Bring your TeamMate to Work Day’. This year on May 7th, there was plenty of action on the agenda for a group of dedicated State Farm mentors and their mentees. Mentees introduced themselves, talked about what they liked to do with their mentors, and answered questions while in the ‘hot-seat’. They built their own nacho mountain at the taco bar, and participated in a scavenger hunt that helped them learn about what a day in the life of a State Farm employee looks like.
State Farm is a proud supporter of TeamMates and encourages their employees to seek out community involvement. State Farm mentors Jennie Sovey and Jeff Lindquist are the TeamMates business liaisons and primary organizers of TeamMates events for State Farm and their efforts, along with the support of all of the great TeamMates mentors there, is greatly appreciated.
