Tabitha Honors Supporters at Annual Recognition Luncheon

Tabitha (www.Tabitha.org), your answer for Elder Care, honored a select group of supporters who have given extraordinarily in the pursuit of outstanding, compassionate care for southeast Nebraska Elders. Those organizations and individuals were honored during Tabitha’s Into the Blue celebration held April 6 at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln.

The luncheon, celebrating Tabitha’s commitment to Elders in our community, honored a notable Tabitha employee, corporate supporter, church, local foundation and individual who have dedicated time, talent and treasure to Tabitha’s Christian mission of delivering innovative Elder Care services that promote the dignity, independence and well-being of older adults. Honored recipients were: Joyce Ebmeier – Character Award, Runza National – Courageous Vision Award, Sheridan Lutheran Church – Compassion Award, the Rupert Dunklau Foundation of Fremont – Continuum Award, and Dwayne and Sally Dietze of Lincoln – Connection Award.

More than 50% of Elders in Tabitha’s care rely on federal- and state-funded programs to pay for their health care needs. With funding for government programs in constant flux, the Tabitha Foundation works behind the scenes to ensure Elders continue to get the care they need and deserve. Donations to the Tabitha Foundation help provide loving support that is otherwise unaffordable to many Elders.
