Tabitha, your answer for Elder Care, honored a select group of supporters who have given extraordinarily in the pursuit of outstanding, compassionate care for southeast Nebraska Elders at their Into the Blue celebration on April 2nd at the Embassy Suites.

The Character Award, honoring a Tabitha team member who is always doing the work of Tabitha, was presented to Sabatka, Tabitha’s supervisor of communications and an extraordinary employee since 1983.

Compassion Award recipient St. Pauls Lutheran Church has been a generous supporter of Tabitha and its programs since the 1980s, contributing financial resources, food, and clothing to help Tabitha remain a vital community resource for Elders.

Since 1986, Courageous Vision Award recipient Ameritas has provided financial support for building and construction projects while many of its employees graciously donate their time and effort to Tabitha’s Meals on Wheels, Hospice and GIVE2LIVE programs.

The Rogers Foundation, presented with the Continuum Award, has generously contributed to building projects and Meals and Wheels for more than 30 years.

The Connection Award was presented to Grace Sager and her late husband, Floyd. The Sagers, whose family affiliation with Tabitha dates back to 1901, initiated an endowment fund for Tabitha’s nursing scholarships program, which has allowed countless Tabitha employees to earn a nursing degree.
