Partnership Between TeamMates and Sandhills Gives Employees a Way to Impact Student Successes

The TeamMates Mentoring Program (www.lincolnteammates.org) enjoys a rewarding partnership with Sandhills Publishing, an information processing company aimed at gathering, processing and distributing information in the form of trade publications and websites that serve the trucking, agriculture, construction, heavy machinery, aviation, and technology industries. Sandhills print publications and companion websites have made Sandhills a leader in the respective industries it serves.

Sandhills Publishing is involved in the local community with outreach to area universities and by offering student scholarships. The organization has partnerships with many community organizations, hosts charity events, and encourages employee volunteerism to further provide community service. Recently Sandhills Publishing has hosted two TeamMates mentor-recruiting events. The organization also hosted an onsite new mentor training session.

Sandhills employees are encouraged to become TeamMates mentors and will receive paid time off to meet with their mentees weekly during the school year.

“Sandhills feels that partnering with organizations like TeamMates is important to give our employees an opportunity to share their time and talents with the community.   The TeamMates mentoring program is a good fit with Sandhills as employees can make a direct and meaningful impact on students to help lead them to success in the future,” said Nancy Paasch, Chief Administration Officer, Sandhills Publishing.

TeamMates looks forward to engaging even more volunteers at Sandhills Publishing as additional recruiting and organizational mentor-networking events take place,” said Emily Haack, TeamMates Mentor Recruiting staff member.
