The Alzheimer’s Association Great Plains Chapter is proud to announce that Keith Fickenscher will serve on the Community Health Charity Board as the chapter’s representative. He comes to the board with a broad range of experience in the health care field. In 1996, Governor Ben Nelson appointed Fickenscher as the state director of Veteran’s Affairs. Governor Johanns reappointed Fickenscher to this position. As a licensed nursing home administrator, Fickenscher served as president of Tabitha from 2001 through 2009.

Presently, he is the administrator of Lancaster Manor, a 293-bed skilled care facility. Fickenscher’s involvement with other organizations includes being the current chairman of the Veteran’s Memorial Garden Advisory Committee and a member of Gateway Sertoma. He served as the treasurer and /secretary of Nebraska Health Care Association, and since May of 2010, Fickenscher has been the president of that association.
