Dennis Hoffman Appointed to Lead Family Service

Dennis Hoffman, recipient of one of Matt Talbot’s 2017 Compassion In Action awards, has been hired as Family Service of Lincoln’s (familyservicelincoln.org) Executive Director.

“Dennis brings extensive knowledge and experience in behavioral health,” notes Family Service board president Heidi Hayes. “He also has a strong background in support services and community and government partnership.”

Hoffman has worked in Lincoln’s human services community for 26 years. He is currently the Chief Program Officer at CenterPointe where he developed a continuum of housing and supportive service programs for persons experiencing homelessness. He recently served on the Lincoln Homeless Coalition’s Executive Committee, Prosper Lincoln Skills for Jobs Committee and many other community initiatives.

“Our community benefits from a strong network of public and private providers that collaborate to improve the lives of families,” states Dennis Hoffman. “I look forward to contributing my skills, experience and leadership to further Family Service’s long history of providing quality programs that strengthen families.”

In 2016 Family Service celebrated its 125th anniversary and now directs four programs: Youth Development, Nebraska State Women, Infants and Children (WIC), Behavioral Health, and Child Care Food Program (CCFP).
