Hospice Community Care of Nebraska is pleased to welcome Lynda Vaughn, Community Liaison, to their team. Lynda brings with her an enthusiasm and passion to further develop relationships within the community and enhance their knowledge of the gift of hospice. Lynda shares her thoughts on hospice and how she was led to this field:
“My journey with the Lincoln senior community began a few years ago by providing durable medical equipment. The highlight of my day was when I met face to face with seniors at health fairs and/or their residences. I would listen to their stories and would tell them of programs that were available to enhance their lifestyles. During this time I learned about hospice and palliative care. The more I learned, the more I realized that this is where I needed to be. My biggest question was, ‘how could I become involved?’ Rhonda Saunders, Director of Marketing with Hospice Community Care, showed me that education is also a part of hospice. I’m happy and excited to be a part of this wonderful, compassionate team! I look forward to helping to educate and enlighten others about hospice and how it can truly enhance their lives and the lives of their families at the end of life.”
