Legacy Retirement Communities Staff Win COAHP Awards

The Legacy’s (legacyretirement.com) Executive Chef Vic Saltzman was awarded the Professional of the Year Award on Friday, October 20th by the COAHP’s at their Annual Awards Meeting and Breakfast.

This award is given to an individual or group that has made positive contributions to older adult health promotion in Lincoln/Lancaster County. Vic was nominated for many reasons, including the fact that for the last 19 years, he has always put others before himself, whether it be for “his” residents or the staff he is responsible for and very proud to work with.

Activities Aide at the Legacy Arbors, Kaylee Amato, also received a $500 scholarship from the COAHP during the breakfast. Kaylee is presently studying Gerontology at the University of Lincoln while working part-time at the Legacy Arbors.

The Coalition for Older Health Promotion’s (COAHP) purpose is to facilitate opportunities to promote communication and coordination among providers by sharing information and identifying services and needs which impact older adults in southeast Nebraska.

Legacy Retirement Communities is proud to have many award-winning employees on staff. They are locally-owned and operated and offer Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care on three campuses in Lincoln.
