Madonna Names Dr. Adam Kafka Medical Director for Lincoln Campus

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals (www.madonna.org) announces Dr. Adam Kafka as medical director for the rehabilitation hospital on the Lincoln Campus.

Dr. Kafka has been a physiatrist with the Alexis Verzal Children’s Rehabilitation Unit since 2009. In his new role, Dr. Kafka will serve as a liaison between the clinical areas and administration. Dr. Kafka is a Lincoln native and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. After an internship in internal medicine at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, he completed the physical medicine and rehabilitation residency program at the University of Wisconsin.

As a physiatrist, Dr. Kafka focuses on restoring maximum function lost through injury, illness or disabling conditions. Additionally, Dr. Kafka is the medical director of the occupational health program, providing diagnoses and non-surgical treatment of spine and orthopedic injuries.
