Nebraska Community Foundation Welcomes New CFAO Jason Kennedy

Nebraska Community Foundation (NebraskaHometown.org) is pleased to welcome Jason Kennedy as its new chief financial and administrative officer.

Kennedy has spent most of his professional career with the University of Nebraska Foundation working his way from junior accountant to the position of senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer.

His previous experience included being a member of the executive team with primary responsibility for managing the financial assets of the UN Foundation.  He was the key liaison responsible for working with the Foundation’s investment, finance and audit committees and implementing strategic plans with the board of directors.  Kennedy also served as treasurer for the Nebraska Alumni Association and other affiliated entities of the Foundation.

Kennedy helped established investment and organizational policies and worked with donors regarding all kinds of gift types, including life income arrangements. He supervised the fund management and accounting department staff and developed procedures for orientation and training programs. He is also a member of Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Nebraska Community Foundation is a statewide 501(c)(3) organization using charitable giving to build prosperous communities. NCF is a training and educational resource for more than 1,700 volunteer leaders serving 250 communities in Nebraska. In the last five years more than 36,000 contributions have been made to NCF affiliated funds, and more than $124 million has been reinvested to benefit Nebraska communities.
