Governor Pete Ricketts and First Lady Susanne Shore recently announced that Regan Anson of Lincoln has been named executive director of the Nebraska 150 Celebration (www.nebraska150.org) , which will commence in 2017. She officially began her duties on September 1st.

Anson, 37, has been director of marketing and communications at Peru State College since 2006. She previously served as communications director for former Attorney General Jon Bruning and deputy communications director for former Gov. Mike Johanns.

While at Peru State, Anson has served as the chief communications strategist responsible for the planning, management, coordination and creation of all college marketing, branding and public/media relations efforts aimed at enhancing knowledge and support of the institution, including external and internal communications. Her responsibilities also involved special event coordination, including chairing the institution’s Sesquicentennial Committee. Peru State will also celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2017.

Anson, a Brunswick, NE, native, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism/public relations from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and a Master of Science degree in organizational management with emphases in entrepreneurship and economic development from Peru State College.
