Amy Jorgens is the new vice president for administrative services/resource development at Southeast Community College.  Jorgens replaces Ted Suhr, who retired in December after more than 30 years at the college.

In her new role, Jorgens is responsible for a number of administrative services at SCC, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and payroll taxes, cash and investment management, the bookstores, purchasing, shipping and receiving, resource development, general ledger, sales tax, financial reports, audits, budget and budget reports, and insurance.

Most recently Jorgens served the Nebraska Municipal Power Pool as a financial analyst, gas accountant and internal auditor since June 1998. Prior to that she was a revenue auditor and motor fuels auditor for the Nebraska Department of Revenue.

Jorgens is a Certified Public Accountant who holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and a Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
