On Nov 12th, the Mid-West Martial Arts Championships will be held at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, NE. Over 1500 people are expected to come to the event that will be filled with positive competition, traditional martial arts, fitness and fun. Jeff Dousharm, owner of seven Lincoln and Omaha Academies and Jason Reed, Dousharm’s partner in Lincoln, will host the 2011 Mid-West Championships. The tournament draws families and martial arts competitors from Lincoln, Omaha, Seward, Firth, Kansas City, Sioux City, Morningside, Dakota Dunes, Sioux Falls and Lakeside Minnesota.
Competition events will include forms, sparring, breaking, synchronized forms, free design forms, and more. Competitors from white belt to 5th Degree Black Belt and from age 4 to 65 will be competing. Spectators are only $6 at the door.
