Electronics Recycler Metech will host WasteCap Nebraska’s Omaha Green Team Roundtable on March 16 from 11:30am-1:00 pm at Metech’s office at 4330 S. 102nd Street in Omaha.  The topic will be on electronic recycling.

Ever wonder what to do with your obsolete electronics?

Did you know that many electronics contain small quantities of hazardous materials like lead, mercury and cadmium that are potentially harmful to your health if not disposed of properly?

So, how can you to dispose of them in a manner that protects both the environment and your security?

These questions and others will be answered by Tristan Burt, Metech manager at WasteCap’s Omaha Green Team Roundtable (GTR) hosted by Metect. The GTR is March 16th from 11:30AM-1:00PM at Metech’s Omaha facility, 4330 S. 102nd Street. The meeting will open with networking and introductions and lunch. In addition, there will be a tour of the facility and attendees are invited to bring along a media storage device (hard drive, discs, etc.) for disposal.

Metech is generously providing lunch, so attendees must RSVP to communications@wastecapne.org or by calling (402) 436-2383 by noon March 11, 2011.  See WasteCap Nebraska online at www.wastecapne.org.
